As a result of who she had been and the character she had portrayed on the SAS Are you Tough Enough Programmes, Anna was approached by the exec producer of Top Gear to work for him at the BBC on a series of programmes he was to produce called 'the Challenge'. Always up for a new challenge, but wondering how she was to juggle it with another full-time job at the time, Anna agreed. However she soon realised that the work was going to be more a political challenge for her than anything else, since what she held to be important in life was so different to what was held sacred by the majority of those working there.
She keenly remembers one morning having biked in c. 15km from where she was staying with friends and realising that not only was she the only non shoe-and-bag-colour-matching socialite in the lift, but that she had baby puke through her non-brushed hair (because she had been helping with feeding her friends' baby that morning prior to leaving for work). She sighed and realised that she probably wasn't ever going to totally fit in to that world (and didn't really care)!
