I was born in a tiny village in Eire in 1928 into a poor but proud Protestant family. At that time, the world was a very different place. Nevertheless, then as now, parents, siblings and families were a central part of my early life until a scholarship to the all-girls school, Rochelle, introduced me to a new world.
Most of my stories from my childhood and coming of age are covered in the section about my childhood days. However, I have kept a few stories about coming of age from my Irish days for this section. I have put tales about friendships which have survived the years into Family and Friends.
