My life has been blessed with true and lasting friendships.
Those that have lasted through my entire life include friendships with Aileen (my cousin), Hazel from Rochelle (and a number of other friends from there, including Rosemary Frost who is the only one of my age on facebook etc) and Douglas Power.
Later-day friendships included a friendship with Betty Harvey with whom a cobweb of familiar connections were established and, of course, many of my Cannock friends and neighbours including Geof Thomas, John Pugh, Mr Taylor, Philip and June, Margaret, Ben, Connie, Polly, Audrey, Dave and - by far not least - Cheryl. Anna used to wonder why I would stay in my home in Cannock rather than following her to Finland but my life in Cannock was a full one with multiple friendships from different aspects of my life. I loved our trips to Germany over the years, my many days of playing bridge and my simple walks down town during which I would cross paths with many people that made me feel as if I belonged. In my latter years, bridge, American Suppers and simply bumping into friends when walking down town, were all highlights of my life.
