Little Warrior, I'm glad you came to visit us.
It was six months since we first met you.
Now we are amazed at how much you have grown.
Dark eyelashes framing your eyes of purest blue,
Upward glances, smiles and reaching out,
Never still, you explore and enchant.
Resting and sleeping, as we trekked in the heat,
Over Cannock Chase with your Mum and Dad,
You inspired me to pray that the years ahead will be happy for you.
